Girl injured in cross LoC exchange of fire dies, 5 civilians, 5 forces personnel injured | KNO

Jammu, April 01 (KNO) : A girl has succumbed to injuries she suffered in cross Line of Control exchange of gunfire between India and Pakistan armies in Poonch district on Monday. Besides the deceased ten persons including five forces personnel and five civilians have been injured. Sources told KNO that five civilians sustained injuries in Mandhar, Shahapur, Kirni and Bandi villages of Poonch sector. Five forces personnels have also received injuries, they said, in Ceasefire Violation by Pakistan in Krishna Ghati sector of Mendhar in Poonch district. Exchange of fire and mortar shells started Monday morning and was going on when last reports poured in. Deputy commissioner Poonch, Rahul Yadav, confirmed the death of the civilians. “Five civilians besides the deceased are injured,” he said.(KNO)
